Neurodivergent Service
At Blue Door we are dedicated to meeting the diverse and unique needs of every client. We celebrate neurodiversity (the variation in how our brains and nervous systems work) as a positive aspect of human diversity. We have a neurodiverse team and see the benefits in collaborating with our differing neurotypes.
Within our team we have practitioners who specialise in working with neurodivergent children, young adults, adults, couples and families. We understand the importance of exploring your particular neurodivergent profile, and how this relates to everyday life and relationships.
Our clinicians can support you with:
Pre-diagnostic support: exploring possible neurodivergence and whether an assessment would be useful for you. We are able to provide adult autism assessment and sign-post to other assessing services.
Post-diagnostic support: getting a diagnosis can be a complex experience, bringing up a mixture of emotions and leading you to reevaluate past experiences. We can support you in understanding your neurodivergent profile and how this affects your life and relationships.
Couple and family therapy: our clinicians can help you better understand relational difficulties you may be having, and with an awareness of differing neurotypes, support you in developing useful strategies and initiating positive change.
Children and young people therapy: our highly experienced child and adolescent psychotherapists understand the complexities of neurodivergent profiles and how they can impact life in school and at home.
