Tiffany Karatziola

Therapeutic Coach

As a therapeutic coach, I work with children, young people and families to help with their wellbeing, confidence and other areas where they may be having difficulty. I can either come to their home setting, or meet at another agreed place, if there are specific things the child would like to achieve.

For me, what is most important is taking time to build a safe relationship based on consistency and acceptance, so that the child or young person can feel they can open up different sides to them. I use play and the arts as a means of supporting the child to share their inner feelings, and I think with the child about how this relates to their life. I tailor my approach to each individual, and have experience working across a range of ages and cultures, as well as educational needs and physical and mental health conditions..

I have over 10 years’ experience working with children and young people, spanning the charity and education sectors. I previously ran a trauma-informed therapeutic programme for children and families affected by migration. Since then, I have worked with families affected by trauma in a number of settings across London. Alongside my work, I am training to be an Integrative Child Psychotherapist.
