Genevieve De Wynter

Head of Family and Relational Therapy
Systemic Family Psychotherapist

I am an experienced Systemic Family Psychotherapist who has worked with children, couples and families for the last 15 years. I am also a Family Mediator, who holds children in the highest context when working with parents before, during and after divorce.

I work with families and couples to help them find constructive ways to help each other. Families are small and unique units and they sometimes get into difficulties through their differences with one another. Family therapy enables family members to listen, respect and understand different perspectives and views, to appreciate each other's needs and to build on their strengths to make useful changes and find positive ways forward.

I have worked in an inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services setting within the NHS, where I worked with complex families facing mental, physical and emotional difficulties. I was the lead family therapist for a children’s charity, specialising in working with children, adolescents and their families. I am also an experienced couple’s therapist.

I initially trained as an osteopath, homoeopath, hypnotherapist and as a Master Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner.
