Dr Georgiana Greenwood

Chartered Clinical Psychologist

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and registered member of the BPS and HCPC. I have worked for the last 12 years with adults and young people across a range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, OCD, self-harm, eating disorders, family and relationship difficulties and parenting.

As an integrative therapist I use a multi-modal approach drawing on CBT, psychodynamic psychotherapy, systemic therapy, EMDR, ACT and Mindfulness to provide individualised and person-centred therapeutic support. All my work draws on evidence-based assessment and best clinical practice. I can offer longer-term psychotherapy, which takes a more exploratory approach, or solution-focused short-term interventions, depending on my client’s individual needs and goals.

I have worked as a specialist psychotherapist based in UK schools as part of a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in Islington, providing learning assessments and support to young people while working closely with parents, teachers and other professionals.

I lived in Kenya for 7 years where I worked in the NGO sector as a consultant psychologist for medical aid organisations operating in East Africa. I have many years of experience working with professionals working in stressful and demanding jobs, managing the effects of burn-out and developing strategies for managing stress and building resilience.
