Dr Elena Borreani

Clinical and Counselling Psychologist, Psychotherapist and EMDR Practitioner

In my work clients are central and respecting the individuality of each person is essential. I offer a safe, confidential, empathic and non-judgemental place to talk about your life and anything that may be confusing, painful or uncomfortable. Therapy allows you to talk with someone who is trained to listen attentively and to help you improve your situation by reducing psychological distress, enhancing and promoting emotional wellbeing.

I use the different therapy approaches I am specialised in (third wave CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, Mindfulness, Sensorimotor Therapy) and my professional expertise in order to tailor my sessions to the specific needs and objectives of each client.

In this therapeutic journey, I will help you understand better the difficulty you are currently experiencing, what generated the present problem and what are the maintaining factors that prevent you from changing. Once we identify the objectives you would like to achieve, we will start working towards those with the evidence-based techniques that are most appropriate to your specific situation.

I am a registered Counselling and Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist and EMDR Practitioner. I have nearly 20 years of clinical experience working with adults from over 50 different countries and presenting a wide range of difficulties.

I am specialised in Trauma, Dissociation, Complex PTSD and Personality Disorders and their symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, addictions and relational difficulties.
