Kim is a Clinical Psychologist who has been involved in the field of mental health for over fifteen years, nine of which have been spent working specifically with children and adolescents.
Children will find it easy to engage with Kim and her non-confrontational, supportive approach to treatment based on best-practice, evidence-based models, which privilege a quickly develop trusting. Kim has particular expertise working with young people who have found it difficult to engage in the therapeutic process.
Kim works with children and young people individually and/or with their parents, as well as providing consultation and liaison to outside agencies, such as schools. She provides cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) but her work also incorporates a range of therapeutic approaches including narrative techniques, solution-focused therapy and mindfulness.
